DRGEM Supplies X-ray System to South Korea’s First Advanced Mobile Hospital

GXR-C40SD enhances diagnostic readiness in emergency and underserved regions

DRGEM (KOSDAQ: 263690), a leading manufacturer of diagnostic X-ray systems, announced the successful delivery of its GXR-C40SD digital X-ray system to Korea’s first advanced mobile hospital This national initiative was launched to strengthen medical accessibility in disaster-prone and underserved areas.

The GXR-C40SD was installed in the first unit of this newly developed facility, which combines seven trailer modules to form a fully equipped mobile healthcare platform. The hospital includes an emergency room, operating room, and intensive care unit, offering a level of care comparable to that of a secondary medical institution. Unlike conventional medical buses that are limited to basic screenings, this system supports full-cycle patient care including diagnosis and treatment in one integrated space.

The supplied X-ray system features a laptop-based control interface without a separate workstation. This design supports quick installation, simplified operation, and efficient use of space, making it ideal for mobile medical environments.

Purpose-Built for Mobile Diagnostics

The GXR-C40SD system includes a TS-FC6 tube stand and features Korea’s first 500 mA capacitor generator built into the patient table. This design significantly reduces equipment footprint while maintaining performance. To address the limited space inside trailers, the system uses a door-mounted wall support instead of a conventional wall stand, simplifying installation and improving usability in tight environments.

An optional Live Streaming Camera allows medical staff to monitor the patient from a separate control area in real time, enhancing safety by minimizing radiation exposure. These features reflect DRGEM’s focus on delivering reliable diagnostic solutions for high-pressure healthcare settings.

The mobile hospital is equipped with AI-enabled diagnostic systems connected via 5G network. This enables real-time consultations with specialists at tertiary hospitals and improves diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency in remote and medically underserved regions.

This project is supported by five Korean government ministries and funded with 46.5 billion KRW over a five-year period. Pilot operations will begin in July 2025 across six regions in North Chungcheong Province, including Boeun, Jecheon, Okcheon, Yeongdong, Goesan, and Danyang.

“We are proud to contribute our technology to a national project that directly improves healthcare access,” said J.B. Park, President of DRGEM. “This opportunity demonstrates the value of our imaging systems in real-world clinical scenarios and reinforces our potential for global expansion. We will continue to extend our mobile imaging solutions and apply advanced AI technologies to create better diagnostic experiences for diverse medical environments.”
