DRGEM provides practical maintenance training for trainees in the Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program.
DRGEM, a global medical imaging solution provider, is strengthening the role as a global hub for medical device education. This initiative focuses on supporting the development of specialized talent in emerging countries.
DRGEM conducted professional training to enhance medical device management capabilities at the Gimcheon factory in Gyeongbuk. This specialized program welcomed overseas trainees of the Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Program, organized by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. This fellowship operates as an international training program to strengthen the capabilities of healthcare personnel in developing countries. Active participation in this program allows DRGEM to contribute to the cultivation of medical device experts and the expansion of international healthcare cooperation.

Healthcare professionals from nine countries, including Ghana, Egypt, and Mongolia, visited the Gimcheon factory.
The training session engaged 12 medical engineering professionals from national hospitals and ministries of health across nine nations: Ghana, Uganda, Egypt, Tanzania, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
Trainees received practical education essential for the stable operation of medical imaging equipment. The curriculum covered crucial topics such as diagnostic X-ray system maintenance, operational management, and spare parts supply chains.
Following the theoretical sessions, the group toured the production lines at the Gimcheon facility to observe the manufacturing processes and quality control systems firsthand.
Through this program, DRGEM shared field-oriented technical expertise necessary for medical device operations. This opportunity highlighted advanced medical imaging solutions and global service capabilities. Participants demonstrated strong interest in the technological innovation and manufacturing competitiveness of the Korean medical device industry.
J. B. Park, CEO of DRGEM, stated, “The stable operation and systematic maintenance of medical devices remain critical factors that determine the quality of healthcare services.” He emphasized, “As a leading global medical device provider, DRGEM will continuously expand medical technology education and international cooperation to enhance global healthcare infrastructure.”
